Damn right. We've made the mistake to build our product on Supabase. We were quickly knee deep in the RLS maze, and the un-debuggable triggers/functions.. We had to add a FastAPI to glue some business logic, and ended up re-routing all the DB interaction through our API (service key) and Supabase now is just a managed DB and Auth provider. Even their storage is outrageously expensive (Egress fees are a killer). We have that on R2 now.. And they seem to be down once a week, which is honestly embarrassing for a series F startup (them not us..) Now we're stuck, we can't move our Auth without forcing a broad password reset, which is so far a big no. A Database is not a backend.

Literally no reason to use Supabase in 2026. I will not promote.
