My other issue is forgetfulness and it costs me big time, with mislaid tools and equipment, I replace around £3k per year in lost tools and equipment, aswell as attending incorrect sites, forgetting paperwork, forgetting how to do tasks that I have done repetitively for nearly 28 years (i have to watch videos or look at personal Pictures at my Previous work etc), parking tickets (where I forget to move the vehicle to a new zone, set alarms to do things at certain times, etc.) I’ve twice left my whole Toolbox in car parks when I’ve been loading up, can’t even count how many ladders and step ladders I’ve lost, and I’m down two laptops in the previous three years. All This means it takes me much longer to Do physical tasks compared to my peers doing the same work, luckily I’m Well Regarded as to the quality of my work and knowledge of work systems, specifications and regulations, so my slowness hasn’t effected my ability to get work and my day rate pays very well. I do have an amazing ability to recall absolutely pointless facts and figures about completely unuseful stuff all the time! The forgetfulness / lack of attention also effects my private life where personal details that everyone seems To have no problem With I struggle immensely, names, faces, ages, addresses, important dates etc, dont worry I have LastPass and Apple passwords to help me, unfortunately I’m locked out of these most of the time due to constantly cocking up the master passwords! A lot! I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts recently and they all Seem To Centre around ADHD pairing up Almost always with depression of some kind, now I would imagine that 100% of the people that know / work alongside me would describe me as happy go lucky / laid back to horizontal, etc, I’m not nor have I ever been depressed, I just have this constant mindset of ‘be happy’ and it works for me. I have approached my doctors regarding a referral for adhd and have been told The wait in my area is 2-3 years just for the initial checks, should I just find a decent private clinic and pay for assessment and any treatments? I cant put my girls through the most important years of their developing lives thinking I dont care about them.

Top Risks

Regulatory changes to NHS Right to Choose

The UK government could alter or restrict legal pathways for alternative provider funding, rendering the tool's core mechanism obsolete.

SEV 5
GP cooperation friction

Local general practitioners may illegally reject valid alternative requests due to lack of training, forcing the tool to include intense legal-advocacy templates.

SEV 4
Provider backlog shifts

Alternative providers may get flooded quickly, requiring real-time updates to keep the data accurate.

What this score means

This opportunity scores well above the median for ideas surfaced by MonetScope, with a validation sub-score of 9/10 against 2 independently sourced evidence signals. A "strong" rating in this band typically means the pain signal is consistent and recurring across multiple discussions, but one of the three pillars (severity, willingness to pay, or competitor weakness) is somewhat softer than top-tier opportunities. Founders evaluating this should focus customer discovery on the softest pillar first — confirming the gap before committing engineering time to a build.

Why this matters for Other founders

It sits at the intersection of "adhd", "healthcare", "legal-tech", which makes it relevant to a specific subset of founders rather than a generic horizontal opportunity. Opportunities in this category typically reward founders who can describe the pain in the user's own language — both because that's the basis of effective marketing, and because it's the strongest signal that the founder has done the upfront listening. The MonetScope pipeline surfaces this category alongside other other signals, which is why it appears here rather than in a generic "trending ideas" feed.

Scores are derived from real forum discussions across Reddit, Hacker News and X, weighted by evidence volume and signal quality. How scoring works

Frequently asked questions

Is "RTC-Navigator: Accelerated Legal Pathway Router for ADHD Care" a real validated startup idea or just an AI-generated suggestion?

MonetScope does not generate ideas from a language model's imagination. Every opportunity on this site is anchored to specific source posts and comments from real public discussions — typically on Reddit, Hacker News, or X — where actual users describe the pain in their own words. The AI's role is structuring, scoring, and grouping those signals into a navigable opportunity, not inventing the problem.

How recent is the underlying data for adhd?

MonetScope's spider pipeline runs continuously and surfaces opportunities as new evidence accumulates. The "Updated" date in the header reflects the most recent re-scoring of this specific opportunity. Most other opportunities visible in the public catalog draw from discussions in the last 30-60 days; older signals are de-prioritized because user pain shifts faster than most founders assume.

What's the difference between "overall score" and "validation score"?

Overall score is a composite across six dimensions — pain, urgency, willingness to pay, market size, defensibility, and execution ease — designed to give a single number for triage. Validation score is narrower: it asks "how cleanly does the same signal repeat across independent sources?" An opportunity can score high on overall but lower on validation when one or two large discussions dominate the evidence; conversely, validation can be high on a smaller-overall idea where the signal is consistent but the addressable market is modest.
