I have a chemistry masters and went into UX but not health-tech. Its skillset is transferable in that you are also running experiments with users, testing designs, iterating etc. Your analytical mind is an advantage because you will be pouring into analytics to understand user behaviour too, not just qualitative user research. UX as a vocation is going through a drastic change particularly with AI development. User research is probably even worse. The job market is rough in general tech. However, the regulated health-tech space is probably a better bet for you if you want to go down this route, with a mix of hardware. I would also say, that you might want to look into AI developments in the life sciences as that's a massive growth area. This is computational however not UX focussed, and tbh where the money is. I personally got tired of UX being a prompting job and just corporate shenanigans and left the tech industry altogether.
